Sourcing Specialist

This is a 6+ months contract position.

The Strategic Sourcing Specialist (SSS) holds responsibility for activities related to the sourcing and ongoing relationship management of BPO, crowdsourcing and service vendors and partners within Customer Operations, as well as for related support for other groups and organizations , and is accountable for the quality and overall execution of the projects assigned. Projects tend to be focused around content, web design, web development, SEO and quality assurance. 

Vendor & Partnership Management 
? Negotiate, manage and optimize projects with third-party vendors 
• Lead requirements gathering and approval for new projects, ensuring relevant stakeholders are engaged and informed 
• Lead vendor sourcing process, including identifying potential vendors, evaluating proposals and capabilities, and coordinating internal assessment and selection 
• Draft and negotiate new and renewing contracts; review, redline, and negotiate vendor-provided contracts to mitigate risks 
• Review expiring contracts to determine best course of action based on current business requirements 

? Optimize sourcing to reduce cost, improve quality and achieve scale 
• Analyze existing projects and vendors for fit; recommend changes to vendors and internal stakeholders as appropriate 
• Utilize techniques like reverse auctions to drive vendor efficiencies 
• Work with internal partners to identify business needs and solutions utilizing third-party organizations 
• In specific cases, manage functional relationships with third-party vendors 
• Manage contracts and billing for freelance relationships 
• Quickly intervene and address all major cases of internal or external client dissatisfaction 

• Work with the Manager of Vendors & Partnerships to identify process improvement needs, recommend solutions and implement changes 
• Communicate process, system and product changes to internal and external partners 
• Collaborate with Operations, Solutions and Product teams to implement new products and the fulfillment workflow 

• Year-over-year, repeatable spend savings 
• Improvement in service and output quality for crowdsource and BPO projects 

• Four-year college degree required, relevant major preferred 
• MBA or JD preferred 

• Knowledge of internet marketing concepts and practices preferred 

• Strong ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously 
• Strong analytical ability 
• Excellent ability to respond to deadline pressures and demonstrate organizational and time management skills 
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills 

• Minimum two years experience in BPO, crowdsourcing or other third-party relationship management required 
• Minimum two years experience in contract negotiation and management required 
• Familiarity or experience with Lean, Six Sigma or similar optimization approaches preferred
